Our friend Patrick Flaherty reminds us Pluto is in the US 2nd house of finances. A currency war is upon us.
Russia developed their own internal economic system in 2014, after yet another threat of sanctioning from the USA. Russia may have been pushed out of SWIFT, therefore developed their own economic systems called SPFS & Mir to counteract the threat of being pushed out of SWIFT.
These are systems used by Iran, China & Russia.
Both China and India are reverting to their own currencies in pursuing trade with Russia. The combined population total of these countries is 2.7 billion people. Do the US and its allies realize the long term strategic consequences of this?
Joe Biden announcing sanctions on Russia is kind of laughable because Russia is ALREADY working with China and Iran in their own internal payment systems. In fact, Switzerland and Germany have already signed on for SPFS.
By removing Russia (one of the biggest oil producers) from Swift, US Dollar will be DESTROYED as global currency since oil, the most traded commodity in world, is paid in US Dollars.
The goal of China and Russia (and I guess Iran and now Switzerland and Germany and whatever other countries have signed on) is to undermine the dollar. This Ukraine war is a giant distraction or at least is in conjunction with reducing dollar hegemony.
The fact that the USA has been left out of SPFS, which is now a competitor to SWIFT has probably ruffled some serious feathers to say the least.
Looks like many SPFS members have succeeded, at the very least, in making the dollar irrelevant by opting in.
The USA must be hopping mad!
Take a look at this France24 article. The second largest country to use Swift is Russia (the first being the USA): https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20220225-swift-the-global-finance-arm-that-the-west-can-twist
Please understand there is some confusion about the removal of Russia from the SWIFT payment system and some speculate it has already happened, but it’s unclear if sanctions took place a while ago (2014) but either way, Russia is fine having developed the competitor SPFS.
Look at how well they are doing : In 2014, the Central Bank of Russia created its OWN messaging system- System for Transfer of Financial Messages (SPFS) to replace SWIFT.
As of 2020, SPFS traffic is almost 13 million messages per day. More than 400 financial institutions are a part of Russian SPFS.
They’re also working on a gold backed crypto currency.
Speaking of Central Banks. In February 2022 this link tells us the major players are insolvent

And, is it coincidence that at the same time Russia developed their digital payment system Ukraine’s also went live?
This Forbes article gives insight: https://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2017/03/20/ukraine-is-silently-leading-a-digital-currency-revolution/?sh=66324301465c
Further, in 2010 Ukraine was among 55 countries across the world that made public commitments to advancing financial inclusion, making fintech development a top priority. Since then, fintechs have been clustered around the capital, with a large percentage (over 80%) of companies based in Kyiv.
It wasn’t until 2015 that the majority (58%) of fintech companies launched in Ukraine, mostly focused on payments and money transfers. Fintech started to really draw attention in 2017 after a series of fintech forums and events started.
Is this also a currency war between Ukraine and Russia?
Considering this entry, Ukraine has the highest crypto adoption in Europe and fourth globally:

For instance, What is upSwot? It is one of MANY Ukraine based fintech companies. upSwot is a fintech startup with a white-labeled portal that gets deployed into customers’ private cloud and connects with online banking applications. The company does not do business with Russian entities.

All this being said though, there is legitimacy to the rise of neo-Nazi factions in the country. This had to be addressed. This Ukrainian’s 5 minute video is the most succinct to date:
