On July 2, 2021 the artists had a fascinating, engaging conversation with Guy Crittenden. Our most popular “pullquote” episode to date, we were very honored that Guy took some time out of his schedule to talk to us.
Guy Crittenden is a writer and activist who specializes in environmental and spiritual themes.
During his 25-year career editing two Canadian environmental business publications that he co-founded, Crittenden won 14 Kenneth R. Wilson Awards for excellence in business journalism — an industry record. After a life-changing trip trekking the Amazon rainforest in late 2013, Crittenden left his corporate journalism job to become a freelance writer and activist.
In 2018 his first book was published — The Year of Drinking Magic: Twelve Ceremonies with the Vine of Souls — in which he recorded his mystical experiences with the powerful Amazonian visionary plant ayahuasca. That book went on to win the Silver Medal at the Independent Book Publisher Awards. When the COVID narrative appeared in early 2020, Crittenden formed a protest group and led peaceful demonstrations against government lockdown policies. Crittenden currently lives with his second wife in Latin America.
Links to his current projects can be found below in the show notes, including his writing website HipGnosis.co https://hipgnosis.co and the Canadian protest newspaper Druthers for which Crittenden is a regular contributor, that also has a website: Druthers.net https://druthers.net
